The seller is a trade only wholesaler. By ordering from us you are confirming that you and any users are qualified to the acceptable level to use the item. The seller will not be held responsible for any injury or damage caused by use of unqualified users of our products. All trade members should have suitable insurance to cover staff and equipment supplied by seller. Goods are sold on the understanding that they are used for their intended purpose. By placing an order with Direct Hairdressing Scissors you are confirming that you are not a Consumer for the purposes of the Consumer Credit legislation and for the Purposes of Sale of Goods legislation and that you are in business and purchasing the goods on a business to business transaction for the purpose of that business. All products sold on this website are intended for those qualified in the hairdressing or beauty trade and are offered for sale on a trade only basis. Customers should be qualified to use the products sold on this website. Goods are sold on the understanding that they will be used for their intended purpose. No responsibility will be accepted by The Seller, for trained or untrained personnel without qualified supervision using or misuse of any equipment supplied by The Seller. If you are a business customer, it is your responsibility to ensure that you are insured for products that you are using and we reserve the right to ask you for proof of professional status.

These Terms & Conditions of sale do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer. It should be noted that quoted prices are susceptible to change. If you have any questions or are unsure about anything regarding purchasing from the site then please feel free get in touch with us and we will answer any questions you may have.

MAKING A PURCHASE

Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on ‘Checkout’ and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.

We accept major credit cards including Visa, MasterCard, Solo, Visa Debit, American Express and Maestro. Personal Cheques (allow 4 working days ), Bank transfers via BACS, CHAPS. Cheques (payable to Direct Salon Supplies Ltd) must clear before dispatching goods.. Your order will be automatically acknowledged upon receipt. All prices quoted include UK VAT in total.
Shipping And Handling All items are fully checked, tested and set up to professional standards before dispatch.

Free Delivery is only available for UK Mainland on orders over £50 ex VAT, for all other UK orders delivery is £5.50 ex VAT. This does not include Scottish Isles, Northern Ireland, Isle of Man, Channel Islands, Republic of Ireland and most other European Countries(Please see below).

DELIVERY SCHEDULE

Providing the items are in stock at the time we receive your valued order the goods will be dispatched within 4 working days. Some items are made to order and will usually arrive within 28 days.

Online orders from outside the UK should allow 4 – 7 working days for delivery. International orders and orders from Europe are sent on a DAP basis. The buyer takes on the risk and responsibility for the unloading of the goods and clearing them for import. The buyer in a DAP shipping agreement also has responsibility for paying import duties and any other clearance or local taxes.

BACK ORDERS

If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.

TAX CHARGES

For orders made from the UK or the European Union, 20% VAT is added. All other orders are VAT free. European business customers who provide a valid EU VAT number at the checkout will have their purchase zero rated.

CREDIT CARD SECURITY

When the order is placed at our website, credit card numbers are encrypted using 128 bit encryption. They are only decrypted after they reach our computer. They are not held in clear text on any web site.

DISCONTINUED PRODUCTS

If you are looking for a product you thought we had, but still cannot find it, then it may be on our Discontinued Products page. The update versions or most relevant substitute products will be linked to in the descriptions. If you still can’t find the item you’re looking for, please feel free to get in touch and we will do our best to help.

Returns

If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, you must notify us within 4 days of receipt of your goods that you wish to return them. We are happy to accept goods back under certain circumstances, as laid out below.

Incorrect product ordered

If you have ordered the wrong product and wish to return it for an exchange or refund, please email info@directsalonsupplies.co.uk

Please note all goods must be returned unused and packed in perfect condition including all original manufacturer’s packaging. The seller accepts no responsibility for lost parcels or the cost of postage. Postage on the original order will not be refunded. 

The Seller also accepts no responsibility for items lost in transit. It is recommended that a receipt of posting is obtained, and it is the buyers responsibility to ensure adequate insurance is purchased to cover the items being returned.

Items received back will incur a 15% restocking fee taken off your refund when processed (if incorrect product ordered).

Items received with broken seals or without original packaging will be subject to a 25% re-stocking fee.

Collections for unsuitable items will be subject to a minimum 20% handling charge. Collection of goods with a value of £50.00 or less and parcels returned to sender will be subject to a minimum charge of £5.00 per parcel.

Carriage for any alternative items is to be paid for by The Buyer.

Due to strict hygiene regulations, the Seller cannot accept returns of items such as scissors, clippers, trimmers, razors, manicure or pedicure implements, tweezers and electrolysis needles which have been used.

Incorrect product received

If in the unlikely event the wrong product has been sent to you, please email info@directsalonsupplies.co.uk to enable us to rectify the issue as efficiently as possible.

Faulty goods

You should notify us as soon as possible in the same way as for a returned product if you discover that any goods are faulty goods. Faulty goods will be replaced or repaired according to the manufacturer’s instructions providing they are still within the warranty period.

Faulty goods does not include any goods that are faulty due to fair wear and tear, wilful damage, accident, negligence by you or any third party, use otherwise than in accordance with their intended use, failure to follow the manufacturer’s or our instructions, or any alteration or repair carried out without the prior approval of us or the manufacturer.

Shortages and damages

Goods must be inspected on delivery and all claims for shortages or damages must be reported to The Seller within 48 hours of receipt of goods.

We take great care to ensure the accuracy of images, dimensions, prices and specifications, whilst such descriptions are given as a guide and in good faith, if you have a question about anything please emailinfo@directsalonsupplies.co.uk and we will try to answer within 24 hours, images & descriptions are subject to alteration without notice. Please note all images are for illustration purposes only.

In describing all of our products and products available in any printed material and also on our Website, we attempt to be as accurate as possible. This does not warrant that products descriptions or other content of the website is accurate, complete, reliable or error-free. If a product offered by us is not as described, your sole remedy is to return the product in an unused condition in accordance with the provisions detailed above.
